Who We Are

WHO WE ARE: The President Emissaries (PE’s) is a diverse group of students who represent the President at various events on campus.

WHAT WE DO: PE’s have an opportunity to meet and interact with various groups on campus including senior administration, alumni and donors, the Board of Trustees and various community leaders and dignitaries who visit our campus. Duties will include hosting various dinners, assisting with meetings (Board of Trustees) and conducting campus tours for trustees and other dignitaries visiting the UD campus. In addition there will be various activities for members including dinners, field trips and awards.

WHO CAN JOIN: Membership is open to students, sophomore year and above, with a demonstrated record of academic success (minimum GPA of 2.5) and a willingness to commit to a one-year term of active service.  Students can reapply each year for membership if they so desire. Because PE’s will be representing the Office of the President they will be expected to exhibit poise and professionalism. With this in mind, orientation and professional business training will be provided to all new members.

If you are interested in an activity that will provide you with training, networking opportunities, and an opportunity to learn outside of the classroom setting, this may be the organization for you! We hope you will consider filling out an application. Applications should be turned in no later than March 3, 2008 to Lynnette Heard, Office of the President, St. Mary’s Hall, Room 207, Campus Zip 1624.

QUESTIONS: If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Lynnette Heard, Executive Director of the Office of the President, via phone (9-4122) or E-mail lynnette.heard@notes.udayton.edu
