Who We Are: The President Emissaries, a diverse group of students, represent the president at various events on campus. What We Do: The emissaries have an opportunity to meet and interact with various groups on campus, including senior administration, alumni and donors, the board of trustees and various community leaders and dignitaries who visit campus. Duties include hosting various dinners, assisting with meetings (board of trustees) and conducting campus tours for trustees and other dignitaries visiting the UD campus. In addition, other ativities for members include dinners, field trips and awards. Who Can Join: Membership is open to students, sophomore year and above, with a demonstrated record of academic success (minimum GPA of 2.5) and a willingness to commit to a one-year term of active service. Students can reapply each year for membership if they so desire. Because emissaries represent the Office of the President, they are expected to exhibit poise and professionalism. With this in mind, orientation and professional business training will be provided to all new members. If you are interested in an activity that will provide you with training, networking opportunities and an opportunity to learn outside of the classroom, this may be the organization for you! We hope you will consider filling out an application. Applications should be turned in no later than February 25, 2010 to Lynnette Heard, Office of the President, St. Mary's Hall, Room 207, Campus Zip 1624. Download the Application >>
