Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity is at the heart of the University of Dayton's Catholic, Marianist mission.

More than 200 years ago in France, the Blessed William Joseph Chaminade gathered people into communities of faith, dedicated to Mary. These communities included men and women; married couples and single people; religious and diocesan clergy; and people from every economic class. This diversity made the communities special and gave them their strength.

We have embraced this lesson. Inclusion and diversity are strengths of the University of Dayton. They are principles rooted in our commitment to social justice. They are principles that guide us.
